meet calixta.

introducing calixta calinder, the woman behind our wonderful produce.

flourish farm is situated near the river granta in south cambridgeshire, between the villages of hildersham and linon. its rain-rich fields are an unexpected spot to find superb vegetables year round, as many varietals such as heirloom tomatoes thrive in drier, brighter conditions. but this is no surprise when they have been cultivated by the hands of flourish’s founder, calixta, a producer whose regenerative farming practices and patient attention to the land always, every time, without fail, delivers the best of the season.

founded in 2017 by calixta and her two working horses, bill and ben, what was then an unpromising plot of land was ploughed and furrowed by the three of them into the blossoming eden it has evolved into today. calixta and her team have worked hard at improving the soil biodiversity using ecological farming practices. and the proof is in the produce.

after their support in getting the farm running in its first three years, bill and ben are now retired. calixta, however, shows no sign of slowing down - and we remain grateful for her commitment to and passion for her work. receiving our flourish deliveries every week never fails to feel like christmas come early. we often need to do very little to her produce, because the hard work has been done for us. we are always happy to adjust our menu to let the best of the season have its moment.
