SHRUB

Harry and Sam launched Shrub in 2020, THE SAME YEAR that MANTECA BEGAN ITS JOURNEY as A POP UP. Their backgrounds span professional kitchens, organic permaculture farms, and food supply logistics, giving them a deep understanding of the challenges within the food system. Through this work, they recognised two pressing needs: chefs wanting closer connections to the origins of their ingredients, and small organic farms searching for reliable markets to sustain their businesses. These insights became the foundation for Shrub. 

Shrub emerged with a mission rooted in transparency, sustainability, and community. It’s about more than just food—it’s about supporting local economies, protecting natural ecosystems, and building a resilient future for agriculture. 

By fostering direct relationships between producers and chefs, Shrub creates a modern supply network that honours traditional farming principles while embracing new possibilities.
